Our P6/7 pupils have in recent weeks been working on the School Games Pentathlon. This is a virtual event from Scottish Athletics that due to the current pandemic replaces the normal Sportshall Athletics format. Children are working towards completing five events and are awarded points based on how far they can jump, throw and how quickly they run. As well as the school achieving a combined score, all children will be awarded individual certificates that recognises their own score and achievement and gives each young person a measurable target for self-improvement.

We would like to give special thanks to David Scott, from Moffat Academy, and Calum Graham, our Active Schools Sports Officer, for organising, training the pupils and running this event for us.
