A group of S2 pupils are organising a few Comic Relief activities during Primary and Secondary lunchtimes on Friday. Please see poster for details.

Parent Council Coffee Morning Raffle

Raffle tickets for these fantastic prizes will also be on sale Wednesday 13th - Friday 15th 2.40-3.00pm at school front door. Tickets are 50p per strip.

Easter School

Below is our Easter School timetable - senior pupils are encouraged to sign up this week and next week to take part.

Parent Council Coffee Morning Saturday 16th March

All proceeds from our School Coffee Morning fund Health Week during May which benefits ALL primary and secondary children allowing them to participate in a wide range of sporting and health activities that week.

During the week prior, the Easter Bunny will visit classes to collect donations for the coffee morning and children will be able to have a go at Guess The Easter Bunny's Birthday and How Many Sweets in Easter Bunny's Jar. Both 50p/go. The winners of these will be announced at the Coffee Morning.

'How to Pass' Evening

On the 25th February, Moffat Academy is holding a ‘How to Pass’ Evening for all S4-6 pupils and their Parents/carers. This Evening will take place from 16:30 – 18:30 in the Main Assembly Hall. Our aim is to provide parents with suitable resources and strategies in order to support learners at home. Some of the topics that will be covered on the evening are:

  • Dealing with Distractions
  • How to Study
  • SQA

External partners including the Barony, D&G College etc. will also be attending - they will be able to provide information on future career prospects for all S4-6 pupils.

World Book Day 2019

Our World Book Day theme is..........Fairytale! Snow White, Frozen, Princes, Kings, Dragons, Knights and Princesses!

Thank you all for your amazing donations so far, but still plenty time to bring in your old books. Letters with more information will be in school bags today or tomorrow. Pupils will also receive their World Book Day voucher which they can use at The Moffat Bookshop

Open Evening

There is an open evening in Dumfries and Ringford for parents and carers who would like to know more about the Foundation Apprenticeships available in 2019.

Parent Council AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Moffat Academy Parent Council will take place on Wednesday 13th February at 6.00pm in the Conference Suite.  All parents and carers are welcome to attend.

A reminder that pupils should not return to school until 48 hours after they have had a sickness or diarrhoea bug. Thank you

Nuts

Just a reminder to all Primary parents/carers to please not send your child to school with nuts for a snack. Thank you

Tesco Uniform

As of 9th July Tesco Direct website will be closing - they will continue to offer the Uniform embroidery service at tesco.com but may now take up to 5 days to deliver any items ordered.
