All are welcome to this event: staff, pupils, parents and members of the wider community too. No need to book - just come along and join in!

Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP)

Hayley Stevenson from Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) presented information to our S5&6 pupils this morning.

MVP is a national approach to gender violence and bullying prevention. The project is designed to train students to speak out against  bullying and all forms of violent and abusive behaviour. MVP focuses on an innovative 'bystander' approach that empowers each student to take an active role in promoting a positive school climate.

The MVP programme aims to train S5&6 pupils to act as peer mentors who deliver MVP sessions to younger pupils in the school.  Any pupil who is interested in applying to become an Moffat Academy MVP mentor should complete an application form by Friday 15th June and return to Mrs Ayling or Mrs Alison.
