Moffat Academy Pupils team up with the Beattock Station Action Group.
On the 31st of January 2018, 5 pupils from Moffat Academy – Emma Carlyle, Jodie Shannon, Hayley Drummond, Finlay Dowds and Matthew Macfarlane - attended a meeting in parliament with the Beattock Station Action group. The meeting was about delivering the views of the youth about the reopening of Beattock train station. The meeting was held in the main conference room with The Minister for Transport and the Islands, Humza Yousaf. The views were delivered in a PowerPoint and it was delivered well, as noted by the MSP himself. Hopefully this is another step forward into the development of Beattock train station. The day was enjoyed by each pupil and was a great experience too. Also present were representatives from The Beattock Station Action Group.
