100 Day in Primary 1!

Pupils celebrated 100 days in Primary 1 on Friday 14th       February, with fantastic '100 days' outfits, games, dancing and snacks. Well done P1!

Viking Assembly

P4 amazed the parent and pupil audience on Friday 24th January with their fantastic Viking themed assembly. It showed how hard P4 have been working on their Viking topic as they shared lots of facts and information. Well done P4!

A massive congratulations to Primary 5! They have come 4th in the Dumfries & Galloway Sumdog competition out of 273 classes entered. Well done Primary 5!

P5 Assembly

Well done P5 on your assembly today touring Scotland with Kian the bus driver! We enjoyed listening to all the facts P5 have learnt and the Scottish songs.

Learning Ukulele

This term, P5 will be working with Selina and Karina from the Feis Rois Traditional Youth Music Group. The children will be learning to play the ukulele and sing some Scots songs.


Thank you to members of the Beechgrove Bowling Club who came in on Wednesday 13th November to teach our pupils bowling skills. Pictured below are P5 enjoying their session.

Community Windfarms

On Tuesday 1st October, Ben and Rebecca from Community Windfarms visited Moffat Academy to deliver a Windpower workshop to P5. The children enjoyed learning about energy and how wind turbines work. The children ended the session by making their own wind turbine.

Roald Dahl Day Banners

Primary 7 pupils created some fantastic Roald Dahl Day Banners to hang in our main hall corridor, using only yellow and black.
