All Dumfries and Galloway schools must have a school uniform dress code which encourages pupils to dress in a way appropriate to attendance at school.

This code must not lead to direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, gender or disability. Prior to drawing up the school uniform dress code, parents, pupils and staff were fully consulted and it is the expectation of Education Services that parents will be supportive of the dress code.

At Moffat Academy we will encourage all young people to follow our school dress code by working closely with parents, students and our Parent Council. We will remind students of our dress code at assemblies and students and parents in newsletters and our school prospectus.

Our school dress code extends beyond what our students wear to how our uniform is worn. Students are expected to look smart.
