Primary Three have just completed a topic all about water and the Titanic. They have learned all about the construction, facilities, passengers on board and their classes as well as who was to blame for the sinking of the great ship.
The topic was rounded off by a few exciting activities. The children made their own iceberg drinks from lemonade and ice cream to help with a recipe writing task. They also dressed in character for the day where the pupils were split into 1st, 2nd and 3rd class passengers and were given the opportunity to experience what the class segregation system was like in days gone by .
Pupils then had the opportunity to show off all their class work, as well as presentations, diagrams and models they produced for a homework task, to all the children in the school. Parents were also invited to join us for the finale of our Titanic Day. They all had a super day and their hard work was admired by all who visited the classroom.
