Birds of Prey Visit

On Wednesday the 28th of November 2018, Philip Munro (South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project) and Ray Lowden (Kielder Water Birds of Prey Centre) came into P6/7 to teach us about different types of birds. We learned so much from the talk and we are very thankful for it because it fit perfectly with our topic ‘Scottish Wildlife’. The birds we were shown and taught about were: The Barn Owl (Whisper); The White Faced Owl (Willow); The Young Male Kestrel (Connor); The Young Male Merlin (Jack); The Tropical Screech Owl (Ramble) and The Golden Eagle (Mac). We enjoyed it very much and we hope you all get to experience the same thing one day. P.S. the most popular bird in our class was…THE GOLDEN EAGLE! Hannah S and Daisy S (P6/7)
