On Wednesday 1st June I went to the Scottish Disability Sport at Grangemouth. It was fun and it was sunny. I got two gold medals for softball and shot putt.

Also competing that day for the Secondary were Harry Mellin, Shay Sullivan and Shania Scott, In her category Shania won gold for the 60m sprint. Shay was narrowly defeated in the 1500 metres in a hard fought race, where he finished second to an athlete from Renfrewshire. He later went on to take silver in the standing long jump and in his best event, the 800m, he led the field to win gold. Harry was our most successful athlete of the day. He won three gold medals in each of his events and in all three had personal bests: the 60m sprint, softball throw and standing broad jump. Well done to all of our team.
